How to Switch your broadband provider
Easy to switch
Simply contact your existing broadband provider to obtain your MAC (Migration Authority Code). This allows you to switch seamlessly between providers. Your current broadband provider must supply a MAC on request within five working days. If you don't currently have broadband, you won't need a MAC code to get broadband.
Cable broadband
If you are switching to cable broadband, you just need to contact Virgin to arrange for installation - no MAC code needed. If you want to switch from cable broadband to broadband supplied via a BT line, you won't need a MAC code either.

What is a MAC code?
Your MAC code lets you switch from one broadband provider to another without losing connection for any significant period of time. If you have any problems, contact the supplier you wish to switch to and they will be happy to advise.
