What does the star rating mean?
During busy periods, the available bandwidth on a particular network has to shared amongst many users, meaning you may experience slower connection speeds at certain times. Eclipse give you the option of choosing a package that will give you a bigger share of that bandwidth during those busier periods. It’s a bit like driving on the hard shoulder during a traffic jam - you’ve always wanted to and know you can!
Essentially, the more you pay for a particular Eclipse broadband package, the less people you share your available bandwidth with. Each package is given a star rating - the more stars, the higher priority that package is given over other Eclipse packages.

Who are Eclipse Internet?
Eclipse were established in 1995 and launched their first broadband service in 2001. Amongst their numerous awards for broadband services, Eclipse won the ISPA’s Best Consumer Broadband Award in 2007 for their Evolution service.
